This position can be filled in either Ft Worth Texas, or Palmdale California

This position requires a Aircraft Stress Analyst to use their technical expertise to develop innovative and ingenious solutions to highly complex technical problems.

The candidate will be expected to define plans and goals, assess analysis approaches and results, define any required testing, and ensure all structural integrity requirements are met. The candidate will provide status reports and report major findings to management and customers, and advise management on structural questions. The candidate will be capable of planning and initiating their own work, and assigning and checking the work of their team members
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be a US Citizen . This position is located at a facility that requires special access


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor or Above Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent

Must have a final secret to start

Desired skills

Expert with structural analysis by hand methods

Expert with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Experienced with and understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes

Fully versed in metallic and composite stress

Fully versed in primary, secondary, and subsystem stress

Familiar with fatigue & fracture

Commitment to Full Spectrum Leadership

Experience using LM Aero Common Analysis Tools including SLIM/Vision/IDAT


Familiarity with CATIA V5

Excellent writing and communication skills

Leadership skills

Subsystem stress analysis background

Active Secret clearance with background investigation within the last five years
