Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program

The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) is looking for world class talent in Airframe Design to be a part of a team that will carry on our 70+ year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

This exciting position is with the Skunk Works located in Marietta, Georgia. This position will support an ADP (Advanced Development Program) effort as a Design engineer. Tasks may include detail modeling, airframe structural configuration layouts and detail design including structural layouts, preliminary sizing, joint layouts and part design with CATIA v5, utilizing metallic and composite materials. Execute changes to CATIA models, drawings and other supporting documents in support of the product, participating in trade studies, creating and maintaining ICDs (interface control documents), and coordination with subcontractors and other Integrated Product Teams. Some travel may be required to interface with both customers and suppliers as well as interfacing with internal management

Selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access


Basic Qualifications

Must be able to obtain a secret clearance

Bachelor or above degree in an Engineering Technical discipline

Highly skilled in CATIA V5

Experience with Airframe Design

Desired skills

Knowledge of C-130, C-5 and/or P-3 structure and systems

GD&T knowledge

Airframe Layout Design

Metallic and Composite design and fabrication


Experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint).

5 or more years experience in aerospace design

Experience developing and modifying 3D models & drawings

Excellent writing and communication skills
