Job Details

We are looking for a candidate to join the Skunk Works in Fort Worth, Texas to lead store separation and integration activities for advanced concepts. The job will involve the full spectrum of aerodynamic design, analysis and certification of weapon integration and certification on advanced platforms, as well as investigation and development of discriminating technologies. Areas of work include research into advances in weapon bay design and aerodynamic integration, as well as wind tunnel and flight test. The successful candidate will be eventually be responsible for tasking of a small team, and in coordinating with other related disciplines, as well as representing the team’s work to external customers and vendors.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in store separation, including wind tunnel test, CFD modeling, and flight test, and have experience in dealing with customer, weapon vendors, and certification agencies in a store certification environment. Prior team leadership is desired. Experience with store separation from internal bays is a strong plus, as is experience with the ADAMS software. Familiarity and experience with CFD codes and grid generation software is needed, with experience in unsteady CFD analysis a plus. Experience with a CAD software such as CATIA or SolidWorks is desired. The successful candidate will need to obtain a security clearance

Basic Qualifications
- BS degree related to aerodynamics or aeronautical engineering
- Experience in CFD analysis and grid generation software
- Experience in store separation analysis, wind tunnel testing, and flight testing

Desired skills
- MS degree related to aerodynamics or aeronautical engineering
- Experience with weapon separation from internal bays
- Experience with ADAMS simulation software
- Experience with CAD software
- Prior team leadership
- Experience dealing with store certification process and agencies
