Lockheed Martin Skunk Works® needs new college graduates who are passionate about working on the next cutting-edge design or technology; comfortable with ambiguity; enjoy being part of a team; love to learn, and willing to push the boundaries. This position is for a motivated engineer getting started in the field of aircraft structural analysis. This position will introduce the candidate to the analysis of aircraft primary and secondary structure in a fast-paced environment. This job is primarily for loads, but the candidate may be expected to perform air vehicle structural analysis in the areas of stress, durability & damage tolerance, loads, flutter or structural dynamics, on metallic and composite parts, as needed, and will be expected to complete assignments on time. The candidate will work as a part of a team under supervision of senior engineers. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a Engineering Technical Discipline

Final Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 year

Experience in statics, dynamics and/or strength of materials

Desired skills
Active Top Secret Clearance

Experience in structural analysis of flight vehicles

Experience in structural testing

Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

Exposure to finite element modeling (Nastran,Patran, Abaqus a plus)

Exposure to CAD (CATIA V5 a plus)

Excellent writing and communication skills
