Sikorsky in Stratford, CT is a currently seeking a Handling Qualities and Control Laws Engineer with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. The Handling Qualities and CLAWs Engineer conduct analyses and simulation studies to determine the stability and control characteristics of the helicopter. These activities include development of control laws, creation of simulation models, and evaluation of both ground handling and flying qualities. The Handling Qualities & CLAWs Engineer will work with senior engineers who will provide guidance and mentoring in the areas of stability and control, flight dynamics, and simulation modeling of helicopters

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited

The successful candidate must have a broad background in engineering mechanics, flight dynamics, and simulation modeling. Candidate must have solid analytical, communication, organization, and time management skills. The candidate must possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment. PC skills and the ability to accommodate changing priorities are a must. U.S. citizenship required

Desired skills
Familiarity with Matlab / Simulink and C++ computer programming is a plus
