Project Specialist for AEGIS Ship Projects for Lockheed Martin Ship Integration and Test contracts.
Selected candidate will be part of the Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) team supporting Camden, NJ AEGIS operations.
The Project Specialist will support the Project Lead Engineer by coordinating technical and programmatic tasking from NAVSEA, PEO IWS and MDA representatives.
Coordinate customer interactions at program and technical reviews.
Participate in the Technical Data Package and Planning Yard product development in support of Aegis Ashore Ballistic Missile Defense installations.
Daily interface with PEO IWS, MDA, NSWC-PHD, various PARMs and Naval Surface Forces.
Will closely interact with Ship Integration Engineering

Basic Qualifications
Ability to coordinate technical and programmatic tasking from PEO IWS representatives.

Position requires strong initiative and exceptional teaming skills.

Knowledge of interface protocols, system design criteria, equipment interactions, major signal flows, and USN Shipbuilding specifications.

Position requires ability to support cost estimating tasks and planning efforts for SI&T engineering services and projects.

Position may require occasional travel to Aegis Ashore locations in Romania, Poland and Japan

Desired skills
Engineering degree preferred.

Familiarity with Aegis combat system and BMD systems

Familiarity with the latest applicable military specifications for electrical and optical cable, connectors and system design, integration and integrity testing.

Knowledge of military specifications and standards related to bonding and grounding of equipment on Navy Ships, MIL-STD 1310, MIL-STD-1399 and MIL-STD-901D (shock).

Knowledge of military specifications related to ship cooling systems and components
