Candidate will be based in the Acoustics Section of the NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) group. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, acquisition and analysis of noise and/or vibration data during aircraft component and Lab research testing as well as from flight aircraft. Interface with all facets of Engineering, Manufacturing, Flight Operations, Programs and Customers. This position requires the candidate to attain and maintain company flight status (class 3 physical / water survival training), government security clearances and VH access. Candidate must be willing to fly in Sikorsky aircraft, periodically travel foreign and domestic, work off-shift, weekends and overtime as required to satisfy test requirements. Self-motivated, goal oriented, independent individual is desired. Interaction with customers is often required. Successful applicant must be willing to work beyond core hours, weekends and holidays if required to support test and aircraft acceptance activities. Ability to communicate cogently to customers, management and other engineers is required. Above average PC, data processing (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) skills is a must.
This challenging position requires on-the-job training. Candidates must be able to apply training to future noise problems. Aircraft test schedules govern workday. We support a multitude of in-house testing requirements in addition to aircraft flight acceptance as well as troubleshooting customer aircraft issues worldwide

Basic Qualifications
BS Mechanical or Acoustics Engineering
This position requires the candidate the ability to attain and maintain company flight status (class 3 physical / water survival training), government security clearances and VH access
Above average PC, data processing (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) skills is a must

Desired skills
Preferred candidates will possess experience with data acquisition and data analysis. Advanced skills in computer systems and programming along with familiarity with SEA and/or FEA software, SAC airframe, dynamic systems and basic Lab testing is a plus
